My Story

My quest for a safe and simple skin care regime began with an overall desire to change my life in a holistic way. I wanted to live a healthy life eating the right foods, exercising and being aware of my body and the environment around me. I no longer wished to blindly apply unknown chemical compositions to my skin.

My research eventually led me back to my Italian heritage and through conversations with my mother and grandmother I came to the realisation that for many Italian women in earlier days, the making of their own soaps and moisturisers was as normal as cooking the evening meal. For me, the commercial propaganda associated with the beauty industry had replaced the simple age old skin care regimes that had been successfully used by the matriarchs of my family for generations.

The “Semplicità” range of products evolved from the recipes of my mother and making the products myself provided a way for me to teach and pass on to my daughter the simple secrets of healthy skin, assuring myself that we were not applying any harmful products to our skin. The Semplicità range uses chemical free ingredients, certified organic where possible in an organic olive oil base and supplemented with other organic oils and essential oils to give a non-greasy luxuriant cream. All of the packaging used is bio-degradable and or recyclable. Even the packing material utilized in the boxed packages is cellulose based and 100% bio-degradable.

Semplicità is the Italian word for simplicity, a word which aptly describes my skin care regime. Each product of the “Semplicità” range, is made with love and attention to detail and hand tested for texture and quality before it is considered acceptable for sale. I am sure that you will find the simple skin care regime offered by “Semplicità” to be as effective as I have found it.
